أسنى المطالب (Asna al-Matalib)

Few engage deeply with the works of Shaykh al-Islam Zakariyya al-Ansari, despite their standing among the mutamad texts of the Shafii madhhab. His Asna al-Matalib is a particularly rich work, replete with valuable fawaid and subtle insights. This edition is further enhanced by the hashiyah of al-Ramli al-Kabir, who was granted permission by Shaykh al-Islam himself to correct any issues he identified in his writings. Few were afforded such a privilege; among those who came close was al-Sharani, who recounts several instances in which he brought certain matters to the author's attention, and the latter accepted his observations and amended them accordingly.
