سمط العقيان (Simt al-'Uqyan)

This is the celebrated sharh of Basudan on the poem, a work that delicately unpacks the principles of nurturing and cultivating righteous children. Within its pages, he addresses a range of practical masail related to tarbiyah, offering guidance that remains strikingly relevant in our time. The commentary is rich with pertinent and time-tested advice, particularly when thoughtfully applied in today's context. Among its discussions are detailed considerations on a child's upbringing, including what they should be fed, when moderation in their intake is necessary, and even the wisdom of occasionally accustoming them to simple provisions such as dry bread, fostering discipline and restraint from an early age.
