تدوين السنة النبوية (Tadwin al-Sunnah al-Nabawiyyah)

This work is an invaluable resource for every student of hadith. Al-Ghawri not only traces the development of hadith, and the Sunnah more broadly, through the earliest centuries, but also follows its evolution into the modern period, noting the major madaris and printing houses in key centers across the world.
