ثلاث رسائل في الإجازة في الحديث (Thalath Rasa'il fi al-Ijazah fi al-Hadith)

Ijazat are often a misunderstood phenomenon among students; many seek ijazat while already having sama from a particular shaykh. This compilation of three early works on ijazat serves to shed light on its rules, the proper manner of pursuing them, and the opinions of scholars on its validity. The muhaqqiq has edited three rasail: one by Ibn Mandah (d. 395 AH), one by al-Hazimi (d. 584 AH), and one by al-Dubaythi (d. 637 AH).
